Thomson Reuters Releases Tax Calculator and Checkpoint Curriculum

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has made available a new on-demand tax calculator as well as new features on its Checkpoint Learning service, including a corporate curriculum and integration with ONESOURCE.

Combining research from tax experts, including attorneys, CPAs, accountants and former tax auditors, with online technology, the Sabrix Tax Calculator enables businesses to perform tax determinations and calculations from any location.

The tax calculator supports multiple company accounts and users, and companies can be selected in real-time. In addition, users can print calculation results and save them for future reference, as well as set up invoicing defaults and import commonly used product lists.

Separately, Thomson Reuters released a corporate curriculum for Checkpoint, a bundled package to help accounting, tax, audit and finance professionals stay up-to-date on standards, laws, regulations and risks affecting corporations. It includes more than 65 interactive online courses with over 300 CPE credit hours, from Thomson Reuters’ education brands MicroMash and PASS Online.

The curriculum covers finance, tax, accounting, ethics and audit topics such as U.S. GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB standards, identity theft, internal audits, mergers and acquisitions, income tax, employee benefits, and more. Courses are geared toward the developmental needs of various levels of the organization, from the chief financial officer and treasurer to the accounting manager and staff accountant.
