Brown Smith Wallace Aces Peer Review

St. Louis
(July 2, 2009)

By WebCPA Staff

Brown Smith Wallace said it has successfully completed all of its peer review examinations and received the best possible rating for its third consecutive review.

The St. Louis-based firm achieved those results by receiving an “unmodified report and no letter of comments.” Receiving no letter of comments in a peer review indicates that a firm adheres to the AICPA’s quality control standards.

“Our firm holds itself to the highest standards,” said managing member Harvey Wallace in a statement. “We are very pleased to receive the most positive results from our peer review.”

The peer review was conducted by Greenville, S.C.-based firm Dixon Hughes, which ranked 18th on Accounting Today’s 2009 list of the Top 100 Firms. The review covered the year ending April 30, 2008.
