It may be a bit far off, but here’s something to look forward to - Deloitte has broken ground on a new leadership development facility slated to open in 2011.

Those in the Dallas, Ft. Worth, Texas area will welcome Deloitte University, a nearly 750,000 square-foot campus built on 107 acres in Westlake, Texas. The campus will include:

•    35 classrooms and informal learning spaces
•    A variety of meeting rooms and conference facilities
•    800 onsite guest rooms
•    Networking, dinking and social venues
•    Recreational activities, including a fitness center and running trails.

“The construction of Deloitte University affirms and advances our commitment to our people and underscores our belief that our people are our greatest asset,” said Barry Salzberg, chief executive officer of Deloitte LLP. “Deloitte University will deliver leading-edge learning at critical moments in each person’s career, from new hires to partners, principals and directors. It will be a powerful catalyst for career-long learning at a setting designed to promote both the personal and professional growth of our people.”
